I just hit the “send” button on my final paper of the year. I can’t believe I have finished my first year of course work. As with anything well anticipated, it feels good. I have big plans for all the TV shows I’m going to watch over the summer. Literally, just sit, with the remote control in hand, and watch at least a couple solid hours of TV a night. I don’t remember what that is like: the numbing nothingness of media consumption. What a delightful thought to contemplate in juxtaposition to the LOADS and LOADS of academic reading I did this year. I don’t think my brain has any room left, so I will need TV to create some more space for next year.
